About the Founder

After a successful career in Foreign Trade, Advertising and Retail, Binita has taken her love for weaving textiles and fashion to the forefront of her work.

An Alumnus of the International Management Institute, New Delhi and Institute of Management and Development Research, Pune, she is a Certified Image Consultant and creates exclusive silks and cotton using traditional weaving methods.

A chance meeting with the Marketing Manager of ‘Reaching the Unreached’ (an NGO) opened the doors to her childhood passion for spending hours mesmerized playing with silk sarees. Initially, she enabled them to create more contemporary products, adding different dimensions and shades …and then empowering them to export by being a conduit to the Middle East. There has been no looking back ever since.

She works with hamlets of weavers pan India enabling and empowering them to create premium quality textiles with contemporary sensibilities while retaining and nurturing age-old artisan traditions.

The products are exclusively handcrafted, of premium quality and emphasize the MADE IN INDIA philosophy and make great gifts reflecting the diversity and traditions of India.

She specializes working in Kosa/Tussar Handwoven Raw Silk, Muga, Kanchipuram Silks and Cotton creating intricate weaves, textures, and prints using vegetable dyes, vat dyeing, wooden blocks and traditional embroidery.
